Defect

The incorrect brake pedal was fitted to affected vehicles during production. In the worst case if a brake circuit failure occurs the pedal travel required may be impeded due to interference with an adjacent component. This would prevent the pedal from reaching full stroke and achieving a maximum rate of vehicle retardation.

Critical driving situations.
