Defect

A possibility exists that the parking brake cable lock nut may not have been correctly tightened during the vehicle assembly process. This condition may lead to loosening of the adjusting nut resulting in excessive travel of the parking brake pedal.

Hazard

The parking brake may not hold the vehicle.
