Defect

Potential exists for a park brake bracket within the rear brake assembly to crack, particularly where the parking brake is used frequently or with excessive force.

Hazard

Should the park brake bracket within the rear brake assembly crack, the potential exists for it to dislodge and become wedged within the brake mechjanism, causing the rear brake/wheels to lock without warnings, causing vehicle to skid

Remedy

Owners will be contacted by mail. For further information contact an authorised Ford dealer or Ford's Customer Relationship Centre on 13 36 73.
