Defect

The firewall silencer mat may retain moisture that then causes corrosion where it is in contact with the fuel pipe. In worst case due to the corrosion the fuel pipe may become perforated causing a fuel leak in the engine bay of the vehicle.

Hazard

Corrosion/ fuel leak.

Remedy

Contact your authorised Mitsubishi Dealer or call the General Public Inquiry Number on 1300 13 12 11.
