Defect

The intermittent relay contact points located in the wiper combination switch assembly due to a durability factor may wear prematurely. Frequent operation of the intermittent wiper circuit may cause the intermittent relay contact points to separate from their housing.

Hazard

Electrical short/fire hazard.
