Defect

The backrests could under certain conditions, inadvertently detach from their front mounts. This could cause the passenger to shift his/her position, possibly resulting in personal injury and/or impede the rider's ability to control the vehicle.

Contact your Harley Davidson Dealer immediately to arrange to have the necessary recall service carried out free of charge. The commencement of this recall is 1 April 2002.
