Defect

The software of the braking program installed on certain trailers between January 2010 and May 2016 was incorrectly programmed. Incorrect programming may hinder braking performance under harsh driving and braking conditions, and when the trailer is fully laden.

Hazard

Hindered braking performance during harsh driving and braking conditions may lead to an accident which could result in injury or death of the vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Affected customers will be contacted directly by Knorr-Bremse Australia by email and phone.
