Defect

Hoses within the hydraulic power steering system may detach.

Hazard

Should the hose on the hydraulic power steering become detached, this may lead to power steering fluid leaking and a loss of the steering assist. This would increase the risk of injury or death to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz and are asked to make arrangements with their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible.
