Defect

The front brake hoses may contact the fender liner of the front axle while driving the vehicle, this may result in failure of the brake hoses. Resulting in leaking brake fluid and loss of braking performance or loss of braking ability.

Hazard

A loss of expected braking performance increases the risk of an accident causing injury or death of vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz and are asked to make arrangements with their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible.
