Defect

The vehicle alternator may fail under specific operating and ambient conditions. If the vehicle alternator overheats it may cause a vehicle fire.

Hazard

A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death of vehicle occupants and/or bystanders, as well as property damage.

Remedy
