Due to a manufacturing defect, the battery does not meet specifications and may lead to an electrical short which could start a fire.

A vehicle fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, bystanders and/or damage to property.

Affected consumers will be contacted by Hyundai to arrange a battery replacement.
