Defect

On certain vehicles, the power cable stud with an attached gasket seal may not protrude through the bulkhead adequately.

Hazard

If improperly installed, the power cable stud may contact the bulkhead, resulting in electrical arcing, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy

Affected consumers/lessees can contact their authorised Western Star Trucks dealer/leasor and quote campaign number FL766. Consumers should take their vehicle for inspection (and repair if applicable). The inspection and repair will be free of charge.
