Defect

In the event of an accident, the airbag igniter may cause inadequate inflation of the driver, passenger and/or seat airbag units on the affected vehicles.

Hazard

In an accident this may cause the airbags to not inflate completely, reducing the level of protection for the driver and passengers.

Remedy

Consumers will be contacted by direct mail. Consumers should contact their local Volvo dealer to arrange an inspection and repair of their vehicle. For further information consumers can contact owners@volvo-customers.com.
