Defect

Due to a production fault, the front seat wiring harness may be damaged.

Hazard

If the front seat wiring harness is damaged, it may cause local heat damage or cause the front seat to move automatically.

Remedy

Volkswagen will be contacting affected consumers to organise repairs of affected vehicles, free of charge. Owners of affected vehicles can also contact the Volkswagen Recall Campaign Hotline on 1800 504 076 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am-8pm AEST) or visit: https://www.volkswagen.com.au/app/locals/find-dealer to arrange a repair.
