During a limited production period for Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace vehicles, a certain material used in the production of the rear springs was not approved for use in the process. As a result, there is a danger that a coil spring may break and damage the rear tyres.
If a coil spring breaks and damages the rear tyres, this could result in a loss of vehicle control and may lead to a vehicle collision.
Volkswagen will be contacting affected consumers to organise a free-of-charge repair of affected vehicles.
