Defect

On the involved vehicles the related gear position (P_R_N_D) may not match the expected vehicle behavior, i.e. unable to shift out of Park or shift out of a forward or reverse drive position (D_R).

Hazard

Unable to shift out of Park or shift out of a forward or reverse drive position (D_R) may increase the risk of an accident.

Remedy

Involved Hiace owners will be contacted by mail at their last known address, inviting them to make an appointment with their preferred Toyota Dealer to have the recall carried out free of charge.
