Defect

Side airbags, curtain airbags and seatbelt pretensioner may be inadvertently deployed when the rear door is slammed shut. This is due to incorrect software in the airbag controller (SDM).

Hazard

There is a risk of injury to vehicle occupants by airbag deployment.

Remedy

Affected owners will be contacted by direct mail. Affected owners should contact their nearest authorised Suzuki dealer to arrange for an inspection and repair of the vehicle. To find their nearest authorised Suzuki dealer, consumers can go to http://suzukiqld.com.au/locate/ or call 1300 495 773.
