The oil pressure solenoid valve wiring was not manufactured to the required specifications, which may lead to engine failure.
If the engine fails, the driver may experience heavier steering, loss of auxiliaries and/or need to apply much greater braking effort. This poses an increased risk of an accident and injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
Renault will contact affected owners in writing and advise them to present their vehicle to a Renault dealer, to arrange an inspection, modification of the engine wiring, engine oil pressure check and replacement of the solenoid valve, where necessary.
