Defect

Affected vehicles equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) may, in certain driving conditions, experience a delay in the vehicle’s acceleration.

Hazard

An unexpected reduction in the vehicle’s acceleration could potentially cause an accident.

Remedy

Mitsubishi Motors Australia will contact all known owners by mail and advise them to present their vehicle to their preferred dealer to upgrade the software in the transmission control unit at no charge. Consumers who require further information should contact their preferred dealer via http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/customer-assistance/locate-a-service-centre or contact customer support on 1300 131 211 if unable to find a dealer.
