Defect

Inappropriate length rivets may have been supplied with the accessory soft tonneau cover kit. Some kits contained 14mm long rivets instead of the required17mm length.

Hazard

With an incorrect 14mm rivet the tonneau cover is not attached securely and may dislodge unexpectedly. In the worst case scenario, the dislodgement may create a hazard to other road user or pedestrians.

Remedy

Mitsubishi Motors Australia will contact all known owners by mail and request that they present their vehicle to their preferred Mitsubishi Motors dealer for rectification at no charge. Consumers who require further information should contact Mitsubishi Motors Australia on 1300 1312 11.
