Defect

There may be insufficient tightening torque on the slotted nut on the brake caliper, which may cause the brake cylinder to work loose from the brake caliper.

Hazard

Braking effect on the affected wheel may be lost, increasing the risk of an accident or serious injury or death of the the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

Remedy

The owner should contact an Authorised Daimler Truck and Bus Dealer to make a booking to have their vehicle inspected and repaired free of charge, if required. For further information, Daimler Truck and Bus may be contacted by phone on 1800 033 557.
