Defect

The software that controls the power sliding door may not detect certain obstructions. As a result the power sliding door may not auto-reverse when an obstruction is in the door opening.

Hazard

Contact between the power sliding door and a vehicle occupant may increase the risk of injury.

Remedy

Affected owners will be contacted by direct mail. Owners should contact their nearest Kia dealer to arrange for an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
