The ABS unit is required to be checked for a possible foreign particle, which may become trapped in either the inlet or the outlet valve.
If the defect occurs, the ABS function may not operate effectively, which may cause the front and/or rear wheel to lock up unexpectedly. The defect poses a hazard to the driver and other road users.
A letter will be sent to affected owners. Consumers can contact their local Kawasaki Motorcycle dealership and book their motorcycle in to be checked and repaired if necessary. Dealerships can be searched here www.kawasaki.com.au/dealers/find-a-dealer
