Defect

The specified model may have had the fuel rail crossover tube damaged during the engine manufacturing process.

Hazard

A damaged fuel rail crossover tube could leak fuel and cause an underhood engine fire without warning.

Remedy

FCA Australia will notify vehicle owners who can take their vehicle to an authorised Jeep dealer who will carry out the repair if the issue is found. The dealer will inspect the fuel rail crossover tube and engines found with a damaged fuel rail crossover tube will have the fuel rail assembly replaced at no cost to the customer.
