Recall date: 16 December 2019
Due to improper programming of the Airbag Control Unit (ACU), there is a possibility that the driver, passenger airbags and seat belt pretensioners could inadvertently deploy without impact.
If the airbag is deactivated or is inadvertently activated, this increases the risk of an accident and injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
Hyundai Motor Company Australia will notify affected owners in writing to bring their vehicle to an authorised Hyundai dealership and have the airbag control module reprogrammed, free of charge. Affected owners can find their nearest dealer by visiting https://www.hyundai.com.au/dealer For further information, consumers can contact Hyundai's Customer Care Centre on 1800 186 306.
