Defect

The transmission cooler hose was not manufactured to the correct specifications. During prolonged use there is a risk of fluid leakage, which could result in mechanical failure of the transmission.

Hazard

In the event of such a failure, the driver's ability to maintain control of the vehicle may be affected, increasing the risk of a collision and injury to the occupants or others.

Remedy

Vehicle owners should return the vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership for a replacement oil cooler hose.
