Defect

A software fault in the Integrated Electronic Brake (IEB) may significantly reduce braking performance.

Hazard

The vehicle's stopping distance may be longer than usual. This increases the risk of an accident resulting in injuries or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

Remedy

Consumers should drive with caution until their vehicle is repaired as the vehicle may take a greater distance to stop. Consumers should visit an authorised Hyundai dealership to have the Integrated Electronic Brake reprogrammed.
