Defect

The vehicle's tie rod end may prematurely fail due to dry steering.

Hazard

If the tie rod prematurely fails due to wear, it may become loose or the tie rod may break upon dry steering, increasing the risk of an accident or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Owners of affected Performax vehicles will receive a letter advising them to contact their authorised Performax dealer or repair centre to make an appointment to have repair work carried out free of charge.
