Defect

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) pipe may break due to a potential non-conformity.

Hazard

If the pipe breaks, there is a risk that exhaust gases may escape into the vehicle engine bay, rather than being contained within the exhaust system. This may also result in a reduction of engine power, causing a lack of drivability in some instances.

Remedy

FCA Australia will notify owners of affected vehicles who can then schedule a service booking with their nearest authorised Fiat Professional dealer. The dealer will inspect the EGR pipe and determine if a replacement EGR pipe is necessary. The inspection/repair will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
