Due to a possible electrical connection failure to the cars main battery power cable where it connects into the vehicles fuse box, the car may lose power to several electrical systems within the vehicle.
If the electrical fault does occur the car may not be able to be unlocked, or the driver may not be able to start the car. In certain cases the failure may result in a total electrical failure within the vehicle and the car may shut down while driving, posing an accident hazard. Prior to the electrical failure occuring, the driver will notice the cars instruments 'flickering'.
Known owners will be contacted by BMW Group Australia Ltd or a BMW dealer. Consumers may contact an authorised BMW Service centre, or call the BMW Group Customer Interaction Centre on 1800 813 299 to arrange inspection and repair.
