BMW Motorrad has noticed that in some cases an incorrect fault entry has been programmed into the fault memory of the Digital Motor Electronics System (DME).
It is possible that the motorcycle will switch to an emergency-operation mode and the engine may shutdown. The sudden loss of power may pose a hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
