Defect

In isolated instances, fuel lines suffered incipient damage in the course of the manufacturing process. Lines damaged in this way could develop leaks soon after customers start using their motorcycles. There are two known sets of symptoms: - Fuel leaking through the fabric inlay at the ends of the lines; and - Fuel line develops a crack.

BMW Group Australia will write to all customers advising them to return their motorcyles to their chosen dealership as soon as possible.

Recall repairs are free of charge. The manufacturer or supplier is legally required to fix the defect at no cost to you.
