Premixed fuel (98 Octane fuel with 50:1 ratio mix with 2 stroke oil) in 1L & 4L tins. The recall relates to the product’s tin manufactured by Perennial Packaging.
There is a risk of injury including irritation to skin, eyes from the leaked fuel, or it can cause drowsiness or dizziness. Risk of death if leaked fuel is swallowed and enters airways. Risk of fire if fuel leaks near a source of ignition.
Immediately stop using affected fuel tins if they are leaking. When handling the affected leaking tin, ensure you are wearing protective nitrile gloves, full length clothing, boots and glasses/goggles for eye protection. Place the affected tin in a ventilated area away from all sources of ignition. Check whether the tin has been manufactured by Perennial Packaging. The Perennial Packaging name is printed on the underside of the tin. Check the tin for any signs of unexplained fuel leakage, such as green fluid seeping from a seam, streaks of green fluid on the outside of the tin, or the presence of an odour characteristic of solvents from an unopened tin. If you find any signs of leakage, or are concerned that your tin may be leaking, contact STIHL for assistance and details about a replacement tin or refund.
