Children are at risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries or death if they swallow or place button or coin batteries inside their bodies. Serious injury can occur in as little as 2 hours and the results can be fatal. In Australia, children have suffered serious injuries or died from swallowing button/coin batteries. If you suspect a child has swallowed or inserted a button/coin battery: Call Triple Zero (000) if your child is bleeding or having any difficulty breathing. Call the Poisons Information Centre immediately on 13 11 26, available 24 hours a day. They can direct you to an appropriate medical facility. Early action can save lives. Do not wait for symptoms to develop.
Stop using the products immediately and keep out of reach of children. Contact Active Outthere to arrange for either a full refund and to confirm disposal of the product, or request for a set of warning stickers to be sent, to be placed in the helmet and packaging by the consumer.
