What should you do?

If the battery has been charged at temperatures under 3°C or if you are unsure: immediately stop using the affected toilets and adapter kits disconnect the lithium-ion battery from its power source and remove the battery from the toilet or the adapter kit. If you need help disconnecting and removing the battery, contact Compo Closet Ltd. If the battery has not been charged at or will not be exposed to temperatures below 3°C, you can continue to use the affected toilet or adapter kit until you receive a replacement battery. Check with your local government about requirements for disposal of the affected lithium-ion battery. Do not place the batteries in household rubbish, recycling bins or battery bins at shops. Compo Closet Ltd will provide a free replacement battery with cold charging protection for all affected consumers, expected to be available in December 2026. Consumers can also request a free bypass cable that will allow the toilet to operate using a 12V vehicle or boat battery.
