2022–2024 GENESIS GV60 (JW)

Due to a manufacturing defect, the windscreen may have insufficient adhesion and could detach from the vehicle whilst driving.

2023–2024 GENESIS G80 (RG3), GV80 (JX1) & GV70 (JK1)

Due to a software issue, the instrument panel cluster may fail to display the visual seat belt warnings, vehicle speed, fuel level, engine status and other critical safety information.

2017–2023 GENESIS G70 (IK) 2.0T

Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel control valve in the high-Pressure fuel pump could allow excess fuel to enter the pump. If this occurs, the engine could stall resulting in a sudden loss of motive power whilst driving.

2021–2024 GENESIS G80, GV60 & GV70

Due to a software issue, the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) may develop an internal fault causing the 12 Volt battery to stop charging. This could result in a loss of motive power whilst driving.

2016–2018 GENESIS G80 (DH) & G70 (IK)

Due to a manufacturing defect, the sealing of the starter motor may be insufficient allowing moisture to enter into the unit. If this occurs, it could cause a short circuit leading to a vehicle engine compartment fire while parked or driving.    Note: Affected vehicles should be parked in an open space and away from flammable materials and structures, i.e. not in a garage until the starter motor can be replaced by an authorised Genesis dealership.

2013–2016 GENESIS Unknown

Due to a manufacturing defect, the sealing of the starter motor may be insufficient allowing moisture to enter into the unit. If this occurs, it could cause a short circuit leading to a vehicle engine compartment fire while parked or driving. Note: Affected vehicles should be parked in an open space and away from flammable materials and structures, i.e. not in a garage until the starter motor can be replaced by an authorised Hyundai dealership.

2021–2022 GENESIS G80 (RG3), GV70 (JK1), GV80 (JX1)

Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump impeller may become deformed under certain environmental conditions, interrupting the fuel supply. If this occurs, the engine could stall resulting in a sudden loss of motive power.

2017–2021 GENESIS G70 (IK) 3.3 T-GDI

The left-hand turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly may deteriorate due to heat from the exhaust manifold. If this occurs, oil could leak into the engine bay and accumulate in the presence of an ignition source resulting in a vehicle fire.

2022–2024 GENESIS G80, GV60 & GV70

Due to a software issue in the Integrated Charging Control Unit, the auxiliary 12 Volt battery may not charge as intended, resulting in battery drainage and loss of motive power.

2019–2023 GENESIS G80(RG3), GV80(JX1), GV60(JW1), GV70(JK1)

Due to a manufacturing issue, the seat belt pre-tensioner inflator cap may fracture when deployed in the event of an accident.

2022–2023 GENESIS GV60

Due to a manufacturing defect, the vehicle's rear driveshaft may fracture resulting in a sudden reduction of motive power.

2022 GENESIS G80 EV (RG3) RG3 EV

Due to a manufacturing issue, the seat belt pre-tensioner inflator may fracture when deployed in the event of an accident.

Due to a manufacturing error, an electronic control circuit board in the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) module may short circuit when the components are exposed to moisture.
